Wood projects are my baseline and the material I am most comfortable with.

I like to make things to that are beautiful and also fulfill a useful purpose.

We all have that dark corner of a room we don’t quite know what to do with. The one-legged lamp is thoughtfully designed to nestle into that awkward niche and gently light it up with warm, welcoming cheer. The lantern is decorated in traditional Japanese fashion, featuring intricate kumiko latticework and soft mulberry paper that diffuse the light beautifully.

Classic English park bench crafted with traditional joinery and concealed fasteners for a clean, refined appearance.

Side table inspired by Josef Hoffmann table design (circa 1904, Wiener Werkstätte). Ebonized white oak with ebony and holly inlay.

Think of a gate as the first line of conversation your property has with the street. It sets tone, hints at what's inside, and combines function with form—security, privacy, and curb appeal all in one frame.

A well-designed gate balances beauty and utility. It welcomes guests, secures property, and announces the character of your home before anyone steps inside.

Hammered dulcimer and stand made of curly maple and western red cedar. I was told by a hammered dulcimer player that I simply could not make a hammered dulcimer because the forces of the strings are so strong it might break.

Challenge accepted! I built this from blueprints provided by Dusty Strings, with a few minor mods of my own.

I have discovered that I am better at making hammered dulcimers, than learning to play them.
